Mac's "love" ad
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9MIMLgHdts&eurl=http://engl102061.blogspot.com/

The main claim in this ad is that Mac computers are better than other computers, because they cannot contract any type of virus. This ad uses the virus titled "love" to make their point, by including statistics of how many PC's were effected by this virus, and saying that Macs cannot get this virus, and are safe from it. The target audience was anyone who uses a computer, more specifically teens and adults, because the music playing in the background would appeal more to this group of people than younger people.

Anti-Mac ad

The claim in this ad was that Mac computers were faulty, confusing, and very inneffective. This claim is not assumed, because the person in the advertisement literally spells out his unhappiness with his Mac computer. He gives several examples of problems he has had with his computer. By listening to these problems, it is clear that the target audience is those who use computers for important work, not just merely surfing the internet. It was clear that the person in the ad knew a lot about computers from the description of the tasks he needed to do, and because of this the advertisement seemed more credible because he knew what he was talking about.
